If you’ve been to Paris, you’ve been to the Eiffel Tower. Rising majestically from the banks of the Seine river, the Iron Lady is the one of the most recognised structures in the world.
This particular print is an Epinal print of the Eiffel Tower, or Tour Eiffel, from its inauguration at the 1889 World Exposition held in Paris. Epinal prints were popular in France in the mid 19th century, using wood cuts and bright colours. They originated in the city of Epinal, hence the name.
The prints are produced on museum-quality, thick and durable matte paper.

All prints in the shop are reproduced from the original book, journal, gravure, encyclopedia or atlas, through careful and professional scanning. There is very little retouching made to the image after scanning, so as to retain the lovely, vintage look. Any spots or marks are a condition of the original work.
