This listing is for a printable download of the Pavillon at the Exposition Universelle held in Paris in 1878. Download, cut, glue, and voila!
The Exposition Universelle, or World’s Fair, was held in Paris in 1878. On display were the newly invented telephone, and the just completed head of the Statue of Liberty!
This file is an Epinal ‘construction’ or cut-out design to make the grand pavillon building from the 1878 Exposition. Epinal images were popular in France from the mid 19th century, using wood cuts and bright colours. They originated in the city of Epinal, hence the name.

All images in the shop are reproduced from originals, whether they be letters, papers, manuscripts, books, magazines, encyclopedias or atlases, through careful scanning. There is very little to no retouching made to the images after scanning, so as to retain the lovely, vintage look. Any spots or marks are a condition of the original works.
